The Lowertown Blues
Festival is a cooperative effort by the Minnesota Blues Society
and the Lowertown Blues Festival Committee with support from the
City of St. Paul.
This is a FREE festival for all ages, with a lot of support from
our sponsors below.
The Mission of this
Festival is to bring awareness to St Paul & St Paul Lowertown’s
redevelopment, and showcase the vitality and beauty of Lowertown
with music & the arts.
Coolers and Lawn Chairs are allowed. No alcoholic beverages
allowed in please. Food, Ice Cream, Beer, Soda, and Water sold
through our vendors.
The best parking is on Kellogg Blvd just off Broadway. Enter the
parking lots on Kellogg Blvd. There are several lots that charge
$2 for all-day parking. Other parking options:
- 6th & Wall Street
- Cray Plaza (5th St between Jackson &
- 400 N Jackson St Ramp
There is also plenty of street
parking. Be sure to double-check your meter; they are enforced
GETTING TO MEARS PARK
221 E 5TH ST, SAINT PAUL, MN
The park is bounded on the east and
west by Wacouta and Sibley Streets, and on the north and south
by E 6th and E 5th Streets.
SOUTHBOUND ON I-35E:
Take Exit 107A on the left for Wacouta
St/10th St, stay to your left, follow signs for Wacouta St. Head
4 blocks south to E 6th St, turn right. You’re at the park.
NORTHBOUND ON I-35E:
Merge onto I-94E, take Exit 242C for
7th St. Merge onto Wall St, go 1 block south to E 6th St, turn
right. 1 block to park.
WESTBOUND ON I-94:
Take Exit 242D on the left for 6th St.
3 blocks to park.
EASTBOUND ON I-94:
Take Exit 242C for 7th St. Merge onto
Wall St, go 1 block south to E 6th St, turn right. 1 block to
Take HWY 52 north until it ends. Turn
left at E 7th St, go approximately 3 blocks to Wall St, turn
left, head 1 block south to E 6th St and take a right. 1 block
TAKE THE TRAIN
THE GREEN LINE LIGHT RAIL:
The Union Depot Station is directly
south of Mears Park.
